Will my DE sony ericsson k750i work in Canada?

i have a German sony ericsson k750i and now i want to use it in canada but i have no clue how to???

  1. It depends on a number of factors:

    1) Phone locked vs unlocked: A locked handset is one that has a carrier restriction on it, allowing only a specific carrier to use it.  But an unlocked headset is one that has this restriction removed so you can use it with any GSM SIM carrier.  If your phone is locked and you are still using the same carrier you will be fine, probably some hefty charges but that's about it.  Instead if you buy a SIM card from a Canada carrier like Rogers, then you will only be able to use it with your handset if it is unlocked.  

    2) GSM carrier bands - The k750i is a triband phone, with GSM 900 / 1800 /1900 bands.  If you are going to use a GSM carrier try to find one that operates on those same bands because if you get a GSM carrier operation on GSM 850 you will experience low signal.
