Will my DIRECTV,rc64, remote control the tv volume on my Emerson lcd hdtv? cant find any codes to work.?

Question

I just bought an emerson lcd hdtv, 32inch tv. my directv remote will control the satellite functions but it will not control the tv functions such as tv volume, tv power, etc. I have to use the satellite remote to control the sat functions and i use the emerson remote to control the tv volume and the tv power, etc. Does anyone know if my DIRECTV remote will control everything with my new emerson lcd hdtv?

Call Directv, they have more codes the manual doesn't tell you about.
