Will my DVD recorder/player work with Virgin cable TV?

I currently own a Sony RDR-HXD870 DVD Player/ Recorder. It is currently set up and provides listings and recording options for Freeview, which came built into my TV - Sony KDL-40W2000. However, we are now looking to purchase Cable TV from Virgin Media. Will I be able to record this to my DVD recorder?

  1. Yes it will, connect it to your box via a scart lead, then take the output of the recorder to your telly.
