Question:

Will my Future Employer Have Access to My Planned Parenthood Records?

I was sexually assaulted so I went to Planned Parenthood to get treated for the STD the attacker gave me.

Now, I deeply regret going because I fear that it will follow me for the rest of my life. If a future employer asks me to submit medical records, will they have access to my PP file?

I am so depressed about this and I dropped out of school because of it. I just couldn't handle the stigma of everyone knowing I have an STD.

When a government license boards, asks you to submit your medical records, do they see the records from every single doctor you have ever been to???

I am so worried!!!! Can I keep this private that I have HPV? I want to die. Please help.

  1. Your files are confidential.  You don't even have to ever talk about it, and no employeer has the right to ask.

  2. No employer can request access to your medical records. Those are private and off limits to even the government. So don't worry.

Government license boards should only be concerned with your school records. I hope none of your school friends put these thoughts in your mind.

Now get back into school and finish your schooling.

  3. No only can they not find out about them you could sue them under ADA and HIPAA if they ask you.
