Question:

Will my GoldFish get lonley?

I recently saved my new tiny GoldFish, Hitler, from being eaten..twice. He has a 15 gallon tank, and i was woundering if i should get him a buddy, or if he will be fine?

Well if his in a 15 gal tank you could get several buddys but goldfish do fine alown.

15 gallons wont be big enough for 2 goldfish when they grow up

maybe get him a plastic on or something

15 gallons isnt alot of water so he might be bored so try to get a bigger tank and get more fish

Goldfish are not a schooling fish so he will be fine alone. I find that my goldfish prefers to be the only fish in the tank so he has all of the swimming space.

Also BETTAS ARE TROPICAL! They should never be placed with goldfish, the only suitable companions for goldfish are goldfish and koi or another coldwater fish.

Good job in saving Hitler!!! And its great that you didn't stick him in a tiny dirty bowl!

Okay, 15 gallons is the minimum for one goldfish so even though they are communal and would like to have a friend, you don't have enough space for another goldfish.

If you get a 30 gallon tank and good filtration you could get Hitler a friend and provided you take good care of them and change their water weekly they should live a good long time.

he'll be fine.you need a 20 gallon for to goldfish cuz 10 gallons per goldfish.hope it helps

i had two hermit crabs and they always cuddled together

and DO NOT get a beta

Also, you can fit another in there. I have 3 in a 10 gallon tank and they have never gotten sick. It was nice of you for saving him. You could get him a rosy red or 2 though!! Maybe a snail too.
