Will my Mexican girlfriend have a problem crossing to border in a car with me and our American son?

My girlfriend if mexican and when she was in the state with me an american we had a child but we went to visit her parent I just heard of alot of stories that when your mexican and you cross the border sometimes you have problums with the officer they wont let you pass?Well she has a visa and passport does anyone think she wil have a problem?

THATS THE DUMBEST THISNG IVE HERD. NOTHING BUT MEXICANS CROSS THE BORDER EVERY DAY. MY FAMILY AND I CROSS THE ORDER ALL THE TIME. AS LONG AS U HAVE UR PASSPORT OR UR PAPERS OR WHATEVER THERE IS NO PROBLEM. . . I STILL THINK THATS FUNNY. NO OFFENCE.

if she has a AMERICAN passport then she will be fine. Honestly I would not travel on a greencard, just a passport.

If she has a valid passport and visa, she should NOT have a problem.  However, as an American living in Mexico, I know that occasionally, some border guards will give you a problem.  If this does happen, stay cool.  I certainly hope you have no problems...and sorry, I don't have any suggestions if you do...other than to try later or at a different crossing.

Just saw other answer that says that if your girlfriend has an American passport she will be ok...obviously she cannot have an American passport as she is a Mexican citizen and therefore has a Mexican passport.
