Will my Pokemon cards be worth more if I sell them now or later?

Question

I was wondering if my Pokemon cards would be worth more to sell now or in say, 10 years? Are they worth more with time? I have a box of the first generation of Pokemon.

OK, I'd say sell them later because they'll be worth quite a good amount of money the longer you hold on to them, but only if you keep them in good condition. even if you have the rarest 1st gen Pokemon but it's torn in places and has food stains, it probably wont be worth anything to any sane person

They will definitely be worth more if you sell them later, but that's only if you keep them in prime condition (use card jackets/sleeves/pockets/boxes).  Certain first generation pokemon are already worth quite a bit today (some are willing to pay $20 for a first-edition Charizard).  Hold on to them and they'll be worth even more, unless they get ripped or worn.

I think you should sell them now. Pokemon is getting popular again during this time. More people will want them. Since you have the first generation box, it will be worth even more.
