  1. I presume you mean a Nikon N5005 autofocus SLR.

The short answer is yes, AF lenses for the N5005 will mount, meter, and autofocus with the Nikon D80.

The only thing to note:  the focal lengths will be multiplied by 1.5x, i.e. a 50mm AF lens will have a view on the d80 as though it were a 75mm lens on the N5005.

  2. Yes they will. Virtually all Nikkor lenses from 1959 on will fit. Your D80 has a built in auto focus motor so all of your autofocus lenses will work fine. This is not the case with the D40 or D60. They do not have a built in autofocus motor.

  3. probably but they need to be motorized for the auto focus to work

  4. Nikon has worked harder than most to keep their legacy lens usable on their new dslr cameras.  The D80 will autofocus and meter with any Nikon mount af lens.

All G, VR, AF-S, AF-I, AF, and AF-D lenses work perfectly.

AI, AI-s, and AI Converted lenses will mount and manually focus.  They won't meter, but you can use them by test shooting in manual, and then making adjustments based on the images you review on the DSLR lcd screen.

    Check out this compatibility chart.
