Will my boyfriend ever get R & R?

I know that R & R is not guaranteed but he is almost 11 months into a 15 month deployment, and he has not heard anything about getting R & R. What happens if he doesn't get R & R? Does he get time off when he gets back to the states?

I bet he got R and R and used it to go to Spain or Sofia, Bulgaria.  He just told you he didn't get R and R.

he will get it eventually. WOW that is a long time, but it will come

If he hasn't gone on R&R by now he might not go at all.  All R&R flights stop within 90 days of the redeployment date.  Not getting R&R doesn't mean he'll get time off in the US.  However, it is considered chargeable leave which means he saved 18 days of leave by not going which he can use at a later date when he gets block leave.
