  1. Hey.How about realizing that YOU are the one who did in the rims.

  2. This would be considered an at fault collision loss.( Your rims collided with the curb)  So, yes, your collision coverage should take care of the damage less your deductible.

But your rates may go up.

You may want to get and estimate and talk to your agent before you file the claim. It may end up being better to pay out of pocket for it.

  3. A warranty isn't going to cover damage you did by hitting something.

Your insurance should cover it.  If you have a deductible, which you very likely do, you'd have to pay that amount.

  4. No, your insurance company isn't going to cover your tire rims. That like asking them to cover your brakes. As for a car warranty it doesn't cover things like tire rims and tires. Read your warranty and find out what it does and doesn't cover. Word to the wise, don't turn in frivolous insurance claims its only going to make them drop you as a bad risk. Instead see if where you bought the car from will actually give you another rim in exchange for that damage one. If you can't exchange it then lesson learn, watch where your going.

  5. Don't put in that claim!!   They will pay under collision but your rates will go sky high.  That is because you are a brand new driver so your rates are going to be high anyways, but with a claim it will be absolutely outrageous.

Pay for the rims yourself or you will regret it.  You will be paying more in insurance than what you would pay for the rims.  Make a smart choice, eat this one yourself.
