  2. Yes, I have 2, and we move all the time cause of the military. They will always adjust

  3. if you put butter on his paws he will spend so much time l*****g it off he wont run away and he'll get used to his surroundindgs, but i dont know if he will become depressed...mine didnt tho

  4. With a bit of help from you, your cat will likely adjust just fine. The time it takes will depend upon the personality of your kitty.

Since it sounds like yours is an indoor/outdoor cat, I'd not let him out right away at the new home. You may need to take him out on a leash for a time to get him used to and familiar with his new surroundings. Cats rely upon smell more than sight to find their ways back home. So he needs to "learn" all the new smells. I've heard tell that it is helpful to put something familiar to him on the front porch for a while--such as a blanket or piece of bedding upon which he sleeps. The familiar smell will help him locate your new home.

Other tips are: Introduce one room at a time in your new home. Cats are territorial so a "whole new world" all at once can be quite overwhelming! Also, take a jug of water with you from your old home and for a time, mix it with the new, gradually decreasing the amount of the "old water" until your cat adjusts to the new. This could avoid any tummy upsets.

The biggest danger here may be in the move itself. Be sure to keep your cat in a secure carrier at all times and on a harness/leash in between. If something frightens your kitty, he could bolt and be lost forever and/or hurt in some way.

    Hope this helps!

  5. yes, your cat will for sure adjust, and if you dont think so, just put a fence in the back yard or something, put toys (and a tree) in it and the cat should be fine. Just hook up the cage to your door. But your cat should adjust just give lots of comfort and dont change his food the first couple weeks. thats my adice.
