  1. She'll be fine, don't worry.

  2. ROFL! me too! I couldn't take it. Soo I ended up doing it but I had someone else bring her to the vet. She still <3's me. :)

  3. Pfft, spay away my friend! The cat won't know a thing, believe me.

  4. Get her fixed. All of my cats are and they're happy cats.

And I can't understand why people are so rude, Percy, there was no reason to cop an attitude towards this person. Some people just aren't aware. Being mean isn't going to inform them.

  5. She will be fine don't worry :) If your still concerned consult your veterinarian.

  6. well there is a pet overpopulation and if you dont most of her kittens will die at a animal shelter if she finds a boy cat

  7. Not anything out of the ordinary. Probably will be a bit weak at first since, well, she had surgery, but the majority of cats nowadays get spayed or neutered, and they are perfectly happy.

  8. No your kitty will THANK you!

The earlier you spay a female, the less chance she has of developing mammary cancer. So you will be doing a good thing for you girl.

None of my animals have held a grudge with me for spaying or neutering them.

I was a vet tech and assisted the spay/neuter of all my animals except one (she's getting spayed soon, but I don't work as a VT anymore).

So please get her spayed not only for your sanity, but for her health! And to prevent unwanted litters of kittens, there are far more of them than there are homes.

  9. she is in heat and would like to find a boy, which is why she is howling.  your cat will not be sad if you have her spayed.  she will live a longer and healthier life if spayed and you won't contribute to the overpopulation of pets that die in shelters every single day.

  10. yes get your cat spayed, there is no reason not to have her spayed.

  11. Your cat won't be 'sad' - they don't have emotions like us humans do.

I adopted an unspayed adult female cat and got fed up of the noise and spraying (yes spraying - if anyone tells you only males spray they are lying!!) after the first season. I couldn't believe how soon she came back into season - it was almost constant.

She is now a spayed, affectionate puss cat and we are all much happy without the noise and mess!

    Go get her done ASAP!

  12. It's healthier for you to have your cat spayed. There are conditions your pet can suffer from and possibly die from as your pet grows older that are related to heat periods. My dog developed a mammory infection and when they went in to clean it out they discovered a tumor which may be cancer. It is directly related to her last two heat periods. Have your cat spayed and it may very well save you a lot of heart ache later on. I'm still waiting for the results of my dogs biopsy.

  13. How can you complain about her "noise" when if you'd got her spayed earlier she'd never had made it?

Get her spayed ASAP.  And not so she isn't bothering you with her "noise" but so you don't add to the pet overpopulation problem.  Oh and the word would be "advice".

  14. There are lots and lots of health benefits to cats from being spayed. They can get all kinds of infections and tumours when they are not spayed, but apart from that pregnancy poses some of the biggest risks to a cat especially if they are very young when they get pregnant (cats can get pregnant from as young as three months).

The noise is bad when they are on heat, but I found that the spraying was worse. My little girl cat would spray everywhere and on anything - newly made beds, the sofa, my husband! It was too much.

We were slow in getting her spayed because we had adopted her after she had been abused and we were not sure how old she was. She was also very small and I was scared that she would not survive the surgery. But we got her "done" in the end and she has been a much more loving and affectionate cat ever since. You certainly can't say she is sad or regretful that she can't have kittens. If anything she is happier  because the awful symptoms of being in heat have gone completely.

Please get your cat spayed as soon as possible. It is the best thing for her and the best thing for you.
