Call your cell phone company an see if they can "switch on" the international access for your phone.  Considering it's a tracphone, you may be out of luck.  Don't take your phone, go and have fun!

Some cell phone providers do have contracts with Codetel, however it is best to contact your provider to verify this. I know that my Sprint phone worked perfectly when I was on the island.

GSM cell phones tri-band work here.  (you just have to buy a Sim card or chip)
