Will my cellphone work when i go to mexico??

im going to mexico is a few weeks for vacation and was wondering if my T-mobile cell phone will work there like could call/text people in the USA or even the people in mexico w/ me..anyone know whos been there???---if it matter's im going to somewhere near cancoon (Riveria Maya)

Yeah, it should work around the Cancun area just fine.

^^^  correct  just call your provider and have them switch it to international calling.   if you dont you will only be able to call mexico  not the US

It should work but you should call the company, because you need to have an international plan or at least I had to when I went to Mexico & Europe and my cell phone worked just fine. This "international plan" could be just for the amount of time of your stay.

Also, they charge per minute, I forgot how much I got charged, but just to let you know, well I have AT&T, so I don't know how much different it is from T-mobile.

*Once I went to Mexico and I didn't have the plan and I could only recieve calls not make them.

So I suggest you call your cell phone service provider to be on the safe side.

T-Mobile works in Mexico.  Just be prepared because the costs to make calls there is a lot higher than in theUS.
