yes. they do get very lonely.. especially if you have school or a job that keeps you away for long periods of time. ferrets thrive off of interaction, weather it be with another ferret, cat, dog....etc. i would deffinatly get a friend for your ferret if you have the knowledge and means..they can be an unexpected handful and additional finance if you dont know what your getting into.
