My fiance is coming back home from MEXICO and she is a mexican citizen will she need anything other than her passport when going through immigration to prove her identity like a drivers license from MEXICO or is the passport sufficient enough. The problem is I already baught her ticket but she dosent have a MEXICAN ID or drivers license so Im hoping that she will only need the passport. We are getting merried Aug 16th.

  1. She will need a visa, you say she is coming back home, does that mean she has been living in the USA? If so did she have a visa?

If she doesn't have a valid visa now she won't be coming back until she gets one.

If she didn't have a valid visa before she will not be coming back for a very long time.

If you want to marry a non USC you need to go through the proper legal process. That means filing a petition with USCIS and, once that has been approved, her applying for a visa in her own country. Go to http://www.visajourney.com for more information.

  2. The passport AND A VISA is all she needs.

  3. A Green Card.

  4. Citizens of Mexico are required to present a valid passport and a valid visa to enter the U.S. In your fiance's case, she will need a fiance (K-1) visa to enter the U.S., marry you on Aug 16th, and stay in the U.S. as your wife.

You need to file form I-129f to CIS immediately in order for her to apply for a K-1 visa.

How she can make the U.S. her "home" right now is a mystery. Did she have a visa to enter the U.S. prior to her trip to Mexico?
