Will my files get erased?

Question

I have OS Windows XP Pro (SP1) and i recently bought Windows XP Pro(Sp3) i want to install it but will it wipe all my files like music movies etc... if so what do i have to do? or is there another way around this?

In the interests of safety, in case an accident happened, I would still back up my files to DVD, CD, or external hard drive, if I were you!

Why did you buy that? If you have xp already, then Xp would update to SP3 automatically for FREE. All you have to do is update your current microsoft  XP and you will lose nothing at all.
