Will my fish tank be over stocked if?

ok i am buying a goldfish tank 55 gallons today will it be over stocked if i keep 2 black Moore's a fantail goldfish and 4 comets

i will have heavy duty filters and i change water 2 times a week aka 20% so the poo i am not worried about

  1. YES plenty of room 4 ur fishies good luck

    except 4 a few comets u need more space


  2. Black moors  max at 8-10" each = about 18"

    Fantail around 6"

    COMETS up to 20" each...OOPS!

    Yes, your tank will be overstocked.  I'd suggest another black moor and go with that.

  4. You should have plenty of room, but you should use the rule 1 inch of fish per gallon of water (tails not included) meaning that you can have 55 inches of fish, but do not add them too quickly.

  5. 2 black Moors and a Fantail would be ok, but certainly not Comets.

    Comets grow longer than foot, and 1 requires a 55 gallon.

    Good job on the filtration.

    And no don't follow the 1" per 1 gallon "rule", because you can't fit a 55 inch Iridescent Shark in your 55 gallon tank.
