  1. I hope your Gran gets better. A water infection can cause confusion.

Sometimes people make a good recovery from a stroke. Others can recover but be left with difficulties that are manageable.

I am sure your Gran has the best care and love and attention from her family and that will help her get better.

No one can say if she will get better but I send my best wishes to you Star and your Gran and family, I will say a little prayer xx

  2. Hey, nobody knows if your nan will get her sight and stop getting confused, 18months ago my nan had a similar thing she was all confused and she wasn't drinking eating and she wasn't going to the loo cos her waterworks was effected too.

After 5/6 hrs in hospital my nan died but you are best asking about your nans doctor he will probably be able to tell you more information.

I hope your nan gets better my nan died of septicaemia

  3. No one knows. Why don't you say prayers for her?

  4. Im so sorry about your gran. Im sure she won't want you to worry.

Just hang in there, time will tell.

    Whatever will be will be.

    Everything happens for a reason.

    Hope she gets well soon.

    x*x

  5. she might get better for a little while, but everyone dies. she will too.

  6. ask an adult -who has asked the Dr treating her, as every case is individual, but sorry it has happened we all get old and she sounds  really distressed . what a  shame, hope she is ok. hugs to you for being a caring grandchild x

  7. Im sorry to hear this... Nobody really know... My mom friend had a stroke, she ok  now but she just repeats everything she say..... Its all n GOD hands....just pray for her

  8. Don't get yourself worked up, i know this are tough right now but you need to try and stay calm.

My granddad sufferent a stroke and he lived for about 3 years after this.

There inital part after the stroke will be rough for all of you.

Just let your gran know that you are there and that she has many things to live for still so she does not give up hope.

Usually people make a full recovery from a stroke and remember that even babies can have strokes.

I hope this has helped and best of luck to you, your family and your Gran. x

  9. I can only speak from experience of my mother.  She had a stroke 5 years ago (she was 70).  Her right side was affected and she could not walk and her speech was slurred.  It was a horrible experience and I remember the feeling well of how you are feeling.

My mum, thank God, is now 75 years old and catches the bus everyday with my father to their local town centre.  The stoke is a memory to her, that is remembered by the tablets she has to take on a daily basis, luckily, there is nothing left of the effects the stroke had on her body.

Some people come out of strokes unscathed.  As long as your dear gran keeps taking her medication that she was prescribed, hopefully she too will make a full and successful recovery.

My heart goes out to you, wishing you and your nan all the luck in the world and a speedy recovery.

    :)

  10. Only the doctor who is treating your Gran can give you an educated answer regarding her prognosis.  However, people DO recover from strokes, but it takes a lot of time and patience.

You need to share your fears with your family members (specifically, the person who most commonly interfaces with Gran's doctors), since perhaps they know more than they have told you.
