Will my guppies survive?

our teacher asked if someone can bring a pet or pets that arent big like dogs and that can stay as class pets for the skool year i volinteered to bring fish,five guppies.i heard they are hardy fish but dus that mean they can survive the weekend(3 days) without eating?

You can buy automatic feeders, such as these:

Which will feed as much as you set them up to each day. Now mind you, you can get them much cheaper than the ones listed above, but it's the same idea. You can get them at big box stores (ie. Walmart) for a whole lot cheaper. I wouldn't recommend the feeder blocks though, as they dirty up the tank.

yes, males can last up to 4days with no food, but buy some algea disc, they last for     a  couple days.
