we're going on holiday for a little over 2 weeks, and i cant take my syrian hamster with me, so he has to stay at my grand parent's house. they're not really experienced with animals. Normally i take him out every day to run in the ball and climb the stairs for fun and exercise (yes he can climb LOL) but i dont really want him taken out when im not there. So will he be ok in the cage? he has a wheel and a large cage.

  1. He's going fine, just tell your grandparents to be aware if he bites and to feed him and give him new water everyday. And tell them to clean the cage once a week or it could get smelly and your hamster could be at the risk of getting wet tail

  2. yes. unloike dwarfs, he will not become untamed while you are away so when you get him back he will still be hand tamed. as long as he has a big cage and toys, he will be fine!

    have fun on your vacation.

  3. they should be fine. as long as ur grand parents feed him, he will be fine. if he needs to exercise, he'll go on his wheel. He will probably enjoy the solitude. He'll probably be glad to see you when you get back too.

  4. It would be ok, but give it something to remember you while your gone, or else it may not be used to you once you come back. I suggest you leave something with your scent behind, such as an old sock that smells like you, or a tissue that has been with your clothes.

  5. yeah he will be fine if he has plenty of food and water. if you dont want them to take him out just get them to put their hands in and stoke his head but so he nos your still about and he stays socialised

  6. if u let him go and watch him/her then yes but,

if u let him go and get a drink or something i wouldn't try it

b4 my hamsters cage was open in my room when i went in my room and i looked the next day she wasn't there i found her in my storage holder in the conner and chewed up my run and an other place in my room

  7. He will be fine.  I have to do this with my three roborovski dwarf hamsters.  They are staying with my best friend as she is nervous with animals so I have just asked her to give the water bottles and food dishes a rinse daily and feed them.

  8. He'll be fine with your grandparents. They must feed it everyday, and give fresh water. They can let it out in the ball if you want..............and it'll get lots of exercise with the ball. Remember, give lots of TLC to your hamie!!!

  9. He will be fine, but you need to make sure that your grandparents and giving him food and water everyday.

  10. he will be fine just make sure ur grandparents feed him ur welcome
