OMG My hamster baby!?

12 days ago my dwarf hamsters had babies and today the most tragic thing happened! one of them got out of the cage and fell thats right fell! about 2 feet! im soo scared! he seems to be acting normal now but when he fell he was squeeking and squirming( this was about 3 hours ago) is he going to be ok? i feel soo bad!

Additional Details

he is 12 days old, they aren't totally independent but they eat seed have fur and have open eyes

HELP!! i need more answers! im worried

He seems ok . If your  not sure you can always talk to a vet .

Believe it or not, 2 feet is nothing. I had a golden baby that was about 12 days old who fell off my computer desk which is about 3 feet or more onto the tile floor, and though she went into shock for a bit, she recovered nicely and I still have her today.

Your little one is going to be fine, but I know how you feel - it's terrifying to think one of those babies could have been physically harmed on your watch.

she'll be fine, my sister's hamster does that all the time.

older hamsters can die from a fall,but the babies are often fine.my hamster chewed her way out of the habitrail and fell off a table at 8 weeks old,she is fine,she will be one year old on nov.1st.ps-the cat almost ate her,but we found her just in time!

He will be fine, I have seen baby hamsters fall WAY farther and survived.  When your hamster was squeaking, he was just scared and in shock.  Now that he has relized that he is safe, he will go on with his normal life.

Take him to the vet make shure the little guy is ok :(

Your baby hamster wii be fine....I had dwarf baby hamsters and those little guys are tuff.One of the babys the mama wasen't taking care of and I fed it milk on a q-tip for weeks and I still have that one today.So don't worry he should be fine.
