Will my hips ever get bigger?

ok first of all i love my size and my figure so I'm not complaining but will my hips get any bigger. I'm a size uk 4 but my jeans and trousers will only fit on my hips because my waist has no fat . my hips are 30 inch ( i have a really small and flat bum lol) and i am one of the smallest in my year as im only 4 ft 10 77 pounds . my mum ha salso got small hips so does that mean i might take after her and have small ones or will they grow ??

  1. Your bmi is 16. That's below the recommended amount.

    If you gain weight and get to a health weight, you will get bigger hips. Otherwise; no.

    Maybe if you're 14 and just hit puberty; then yes. If you've just hit puberty a lttle while ago, then you're still growing; and your hips will grow with you.


  2. Your hips may get larger, if you put on weight.  But your size seems predestined, and may be hereditary, so be prepared to stay as you are.

    BTW, it is so nice to hear about a woman who is satisfied about her figure and not trying to lose weight.

  4. No wont grow. Inheritence plays big role especially the hips almost always from the mom. My mom has big hips and a butt since shes hispanic and I inherited from her. Im a size US 8 and I am considered skinny below average. So im skinny but fit in a size 8 if you know what I mean...

  5. well you never no. you can't exactly be sure that they will never grow, and not everyone takes on their mums. but i have heard for some people their fat goes onto their hips, some on their bums, some on their tummies, and some on the face, my fat usually shows on my face!! which is a bad thing but a good thing, you wouldn't exactly want your face fat and round, but you wouldn't want any other part of your body fat..by eating the wrong things the fat can turn up anywhere. but just try not to get the chance to see that, as it may be very hard to loose again.[lol].

  7. You're teeny weeny, we can't determine if you'll broaden out or not. Work out to bulk up a bit, other than that you're going to stay like a stick, and you're under weight even for your height.

    EDIT three bags of crisps isn't going to put weight on you. Make your calorie intake higher by adding fats and carbs to your meals. Full fat milk, cheese etc...
