Will my husband hit me again?

he it me for the second time a couple days ago. prior to that the first time he hit me was about eight months ago. there is such a big gap in the time frame. i am scared but he is a nice guy and i dont know if he will do it again or not. i have an apartment that i am to move into with my kids next week but i love him and want to stay, yet i think i should go for my own safety. do men hit once and then not again, or do they hit once and then repeat?

I totally believe you should get out while you can! Restraining orders are your best bet to get him completely out of your life.  I am going through this with my best friend and I am haveing the hardest time convincing her that the abuse won't stop. No matter how sorry they are, no matter what they tell you, the truth is they cant help it and can not change without professional help.  And even then why risk a relaps.  Best to move on!  I love you Kayce!!
