Will my insurance cover a HSG?

I work in a free standing imaging facility in Northern California.  I have never seen ANY insurance plan cover the HSG procedures.  They consider them part of an infertility work up.  You can call the 800 number on the back of your Aetna card and get a definitive answer from an Aetna representative.  That would be your best bet for finding a correct answer to your question......

Well im not sure what HSG really is. But if its going to be a medical procedure. there are things you need to know and confirm to your insurance. FIrst,if going to covered or not? Does it requires authorization? How much will be the reimbursement if its going to be covered. If you have the diagnosis code and the procedure code, that is better then the insurance can check if its going to be a covered benefit according to your plan.

What's HSG?  If it's a medical procedure, it's going to depend on what state you are in, and which plan you have.  Aetna PPO has about 100 different plans.
