  1. IF YOU HAD VALID INSURANCE YOU CAN GET THE TICKET DISMISSED BY SUBMITTING PROOF OF INSURANCE AND NO IT WILL NOT GO UP AS LONG AS YOU HAD VALID INSURANCE IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE INSURANCE YOUR LICENSE WOULD BE SUSPENDED

  2. To all the 'points' answers.  In MOST states, insurance companies pull your record and use their own points system.  Points assigned by the DMV are meaningless for insurance rates.

  3. No. As long as you HAVE insurance I think that's all that matters...

And I think they can look that up on there radar w/ your social security number.....

Call the police station and ask! Don't ask us we don't know.... lol

  4. in most states , that's a non-moving violation therefore no rate increase.

  5. You should be able to get the ticket dropped by showing proof of insurance.  However, you'll still be liable for court costs.

  6. If you get any type of citation, your rates could go up.  Most states allow for a drivers improvement course which will negate the points that are normally attached to the citation.

  7. yes unless you go to the court room and prove you have insurance

  8. No.  This is not a moving violation and therefore no points are assessed, so your rates will not increase.  You should be able to get out of paying the ticked by providing proof of insurance to the Clerk of the Court before the due date.

  9. Points are points, and yes the insurance companies look at your points and also your credit I might add.  You can also go in with your proof of insurance to the courts I believe if you didn't have it on you while you were ticketed.

  10. I think you have 24 hours to provide proof of insurance.  But I might be wrong.
