Will my juvenile record affect my chances of getting a government job.?

  1. No, a juvenile record is sealed when the offender turns 18. It can only be "dug up" with a  court order. Unless you're applying for something like the FBI/CIA, this info will never come up on a background check. The possible problem I see is how a job application is worded. For all practical purposes if you have a sealed record I don't think you should have to volunteer the record even if asked on an application.


  2. Depending on the severity.. but mostly likely no it will not have any bearing on government employment.
