Question:

Will my linea negra most likely darken?

I noticed that I have one, but it's very light. Do they tend to get darker as time progresses?

I'm almost 24 weeks, and I've noticed it since about 20 weeks. And it hasn't gotten any darker, it's just travelled a little bit and is now above my belly button.

  1. My due date is Dec 23rd! But since I'm having twins it will probably be Novenmber sometime. My line started showing at about 14 weeks! it has gotten darker and is now from the top of my uterus to my pelvic bone. I think that the darker complected you are...not from tanning...  the more obvious the line will be.

  2. It might get darker, but it may just stay the same. A lot of women don't even get it.

  3. Not sure what causes it to be lighter for some women then others, but mine never got very dark, it maintained about the same my whole pregnancy, but then again I was only pregnant to 30 weeks.

  4. Hard to say. It could get really dark or it could stay how it is. I had one with my first son but with this one I got nothing.

  5. mine started out very light and thin. now at 36 weeks it is darker and wider and extends from just below my chest to my pubic bone.  your skin tone has a lot to do with how dark it will get, the darker your skin the darker the line.
