Will my long term disability company just with hold future benefits if i refuse to pay back pay?

i have a long term disability that has been paying me til ssd took effect. they recently tried to s***w me over making it sound like i was lying about getting my back payl....i was approved in aug 07, lawyer paid soon after but i STILL have not gotten it even after getting lawyer and congressman involved. anyways i finally got that worked out and they said i should get my back pay soon as ive been waiting about 6 mos or so.

since the wrote me saying theyd with hold my benefits til they were paid my back pay I will just have them with hold my benefits once my back pay is directly deposited in my bank acct . I get SSD monthly checks stared back in OCT and just waiting on back pay. But since they wrote n said they would with hold til they verified with SSD i havent gotten back pay i think i am just going to have them with hold til theyre amount is 'paid back'

this should be ok right??? they arent getting a cent after all ive been through- ugh

Sweetie , I wish I could answer your question with assurance ! I would recommend talking with your lawyer about it and the best way to go about it . I am sorry that you have on-going health problems and I truly hope that everything turns out ok with you . I had a very demeaning experience with SSD and it sounds like you have gone through something similar . We are in empathy with each other !
