  1. No. You'll need an adapter to mount the older MC/MD manual focus lenses to your Sony A200.

    Minolta changed their lens mount when they introduced the Maxxum 7000 AF 35mm SLR in 1985. The a-mount lives on today on the Sony Alpha series of DSLR cameras.

    Yep they will :) Just remember the dslr chop factor . Say a 50mmm used on the a200 would be more like a 80mm on the x700.

  4. Unfortunately, no. Minolta lenses and Sony don`t work together so the lenses are different sizes. It`s just the way each camera is built, it just won`t work...sadly. =S
