Will my police caution affect a job offer in a nursing home?

i was cautioned over a year ago for assault, i wasn't charged, it went to court and i was found not guilty, but now a job has come up as a carer which i have wanted for ages and ive found out they need to do an extensive criminal record check and I'm really worried I'm not gonna get the job because of this, does anyone know if a caution will matter in this situation or is it just convictions they are looking for

They are only looking for convictions. In your interview, you may to let them know that this may appear in their background check.  This way they know you are not trying to hide anything.
