I have a fridge that I will be putting in storage for a while and it WILL NOT be plugged in...but will be cleaned and bleached out and defrosted, etc. Will it still work after seven months? Because people are telling me for a refrigerator to work well you should never unplug it even if you are storing it.

  1. So long as it's stored upright, it can sit un-plugged for years and will still work fine.

  2. I've stored them for longer than that. To keep the interior free of mildew, Put a thin piece of wood between the door and frame so air can circulate. Tape it in place so the door will be cracked.

  3. they are wrong, it will work fine just remember NOT to lay it flat . if that should happen the refrigerant oil will evacuate the compressor which may cause it to burn up if you plug it in.

  4. when you get a new one it has never been plugged in and it still works so the answer yes is it will work
