Will my snowboarding jacket be warm enough this winter?

I just bought a jacket that's made for snowboarding, but I realized it's very thin. It's 15K waterproof and it got a good rating, so I know it's a good jacket. But what should I wear underneath it? My boyfriend said to wear a fleece sweater or something, and my friend Molly just handed me her underarmor.

What will keep me the warmest?? We're going way up north to Lutsen in January so I'm thinkin it's going to be way cold!!!

  1. The jacket you've purchased is perfect. The best way to stay warm and dry is to have a good waterproof shell and then layer underneith. I wear a thin or midweight base layer and then a heavy weight base layer under my coat. It just depends on how cold it is. A fleece sweater is okay if it is not too much cotton. Cotton holds moisture and stays wet.

  2. wear like some thermal pants and top under like you jaket and pantts. if that doesnt help enough put on a sweatshirt underneath. hope it helps =]
