i recieved this graco stroller, i cant figure out which one though. but its blue and grey with check design. its not a travel system, will it be ok for a newborn or do i have to get another stroller. a friend was telling me i need one with a carseat for the baby, but i dont want to buy another one for no reason. will any single stroller work or does it have to be a travel system?

its similar to this stroller http://www.mystrollers.com/Shop/product.aspx?sku=6H00INC3

  1. Dont buy another one, just get a carseat that is for a newborn up to toddler. If you buy a new one with the travel system it only goes up to a certain age and weight. So you will buy a new stroller that you can only use the carseat in for about 7-9months because the baby won't want to sit in the carseat in the stroller once it learns to sit up and look around. So now you have to go but another carseat for when the baby gets to toddler size. So if you keep the stroller you have you only have to buy one and then you buy a infant-toddler carseat and you only have to buy one carseat for the next 3yrs. Does that make sense?

  2. if the stroller seat can lay down flat and you can strap the baby in it should be OK. but you will need a car seat if you ever plan on driving anywhere

  3. If the stroller seat adjusts to lie flat and your baby fits into the straps, then it will be just fine.

  4. that stroller will be fine, its very simular to the one i used for my some when he was newborn, and im still using it and he is 5 months

  5. a travel system is great because it allows an infant carrier to be attached TO the stroller, eliminating the need to remove baby from seat and into stroller. HOWEVER you can just get an infant seat, take the baby out, put the baby into the stroller and go. As long as you have one of those head support pillow things in the stroller, youll be fine. Its just more convienient to have a system, but it doesnt HAVE to be that way. good luck!

  6. It will be fine as loing as it lies all the way down. Honestly, I regret buying a huge bulky thing as now my daughter is 6 months it's just a pain in the butt when all I  really need is something like yours.

  7. If you get a Graco car seat, you can snap it on to that stroller. It says this right under the description part "Best of all, this stroller accepts Graco SnugRide and Infant SafeSeat car seats!"

The car seat doesn't have to match the stroller.

  8. I didn't even use a stroller until my son was about 3-4 months old. and if we were at the mall either hubby or I would carry him..and if we were at the grocery store or something he was in his infant seat..but I see no problem as long as the seat reclines and you cover up the foot area and just watch him closely..

    Congrats!!!!!
