  1. You better start wearing your retainer! Or you'll end up like my sister, whose teeth shifted so much that her teeth couldn't even fit in the retainer because it was too painful to. Now $4000 are down the drain and she has to get new braces. I hope it's not too late for you.

  2. The reason your teeth were hurting is because they were moving!!!

So you stopping it has made it worse, it will hurt even more once you

start wearing it cause it has to shift them back into place. If I dont wear

mine for like 3 nights in a row, my teeth will hurt so bad when I take it out.

Bad idea on your part, very very bad.If you can get your teeth in there

it might straighten them back out but its going to hurt like a ******.

  3. I think yes because I have tried it before. Hurry and put them on before it is too late even if it hurts. I haven't put on my retainers in like a year and now they are crooked again. It is actually really sad. After all that money, to just throw it all away! PUT THEM ON!!

  4. retainer should used after you went through braces..that's why it callled retainer..to retain the good result...consult the best dentist first

  5. If you completed your treatment, life time retention (retainers) is mandatory if you want to keep your straight teeth. If not you will go back to square one and your years with braces will go down the drain not to mention money. If it's been 4 months than you have to go back and get a new ones made. They will not fit your teeth anymore. Be prepared to spend a couple of hundred dollars for them. As far as fixing the shifts already done it is not possible on most occasions the only why is to get you back in braces again. Good luck.

  6. Yes, I still wear my retainer about once or twice a year and my teeth go back each time.
