Will my tobacco pipe still work?

It it possible to fix my corncob pipe? it is a missouri meerschaum tobacco pipe and I live just up the road from the pipe factory but I took the mouthpiece or filter thingy off, Is this broken forever? Can I still smoke out of it?

Just dab some JB weld or Superglue Gel on it and it will be good as new.  Just kidding.  I have no idea how to fix a smoke piece.
