Will my torrents still download if..........?

i leave my laptop on, but just close it, i believe it goes into lock mode or sleep mode when i shut it, but will my torrents still download? thanks

no, it will hibernate, cuts internet to save batterylife, etc, just dim your screen.

If it locks they will, but they wont in sleep mode.

whenever i do that, they don't download. i'd keep it open if you can, but adjust power settings to conserve power

Sleep mode = no

No it won't .... sleep suspends all operations

No, sleep mode shuts down all running programs and start running again when you log back in.
