Were taking a train from Albany NY to Deland Fla and Im wondering if the train will stop at stations along the way. It makes sense to me that they would pick up/drop off folks as they go, but I cant find anywhere that says for sure.

  1. It depends if it is an express train or a local train. Express' make less stops and only in major stations. Local trains stop more often.

  2. You'll actually be taking two trains, since there are no trains that go from Albany to Deland without requiring a transfer in New York.

There will be a number of stops.  First, the train you take from Albany to New York makes about five stops along the way, the largest being Poughkeepsie.

The train from New York to Deland makes about 20 stops along the way.  For the route you'll be taking, there aren't express and local trains--each train pretty much makes all the stops.

Here's a link to the Amtrak website, which has a map of Amtrak's routes, plus you can look at the schedules for the two trains you'll be takng.
