Will not ignite after replacing air filters

Question

Unit runs, purchased filter kit for 55K Reddy Heater Kero. Unit has spark but will not light. Replace new filters with old filters and unit fires up. Swapped out a second time and sure enough it will not light. Put old filters back in (clearly filter is carboned up) and unit fires up.
