It's getting pretty close to being a police state. I had my house raided and all my guns were confiscated, I wasn't even home and thought my house was robed. When I called the police they said I was suicidal and homicidal. They didn't have a warrant. I had to get clarified by a psychiatrist in order to get my guns back.

There will be a new President in January of 09.  If Bush is dumb enough to try to hold onto power (and he won't) his legacy will be removal from the white house by armed men, either military, or Secret Service.

President Bush did what he thought was right to protect the American people. The Congress and Senate got the same intelligence and the majority made the same decision. A president isn't God and can't always make the correct decision. No more than we can in our personal lives. Thank God we had someone that was willing to make the hard decisions. If the dems thought  Kucinich was right how come he is not their nominee?

A truly scary thought,...If McCain is elected he will pardon d**k & bush. I have stated over and over in my ?s and answers that Bush & crooked d**k must be tried for High Treason  and War Crimes. I blame the press for being cowards and not investigating nor reporting the blatant coruption in the White House. So many in the bush administration will come forward only after it is too late. A former bush press secretary writes a book and states that "Bush has his own interpretation of  reality" and America is told he is a "Disgruntled employee" and not another mention of it in the press. SAD SAD SAD!

No, no, no.  Much has been made of all the things that "could" happen with this presidency.  Unless something drastic happens, we'll have an oderly transition of power come this upcoming January.  Nixon's actions alarmed people, and reforms were implemented.  Clinton's impeachment was a farce, and reminded people of the potential for mischief within our political system.  This election appears to spell a wake up call for the GOP in terms of their standing in Congress.  I think it's safe to say we'll be fine regardless of all the handwringing on this subject.
