Will not print- page is blank

2 problems with a recently installed canon pixma mp180: 1) will not print - blank paper comes straight through after print command is given. Also noticed the print preview page is blank.2) Won't feed paper - rollers turn on but paper doesn't feed, says to place paper in feeder even after cleaning. I have a windows vista os and downloaded an updated driver - says printer is installed properly, printer status says it's online. Please help.
