My mother says she and my grandma would always ignore those letters and nothing has ever happened. My husband tells me I better register because he doesn't want me to call him from jail one of these days. If this is true, why do my grandmother and mother still have impeccable records? I have the feeling they're just trying to scare you into replying. What do you think? Does anybody know the truth?

  1. Yes it will. A judge will issue a bench warrant for your arrest & you'll end up in court explaining to the judge why you ignored it.

  2. You can get into trouble for not doing it.  Just register. God, people act like they've been asked to serve in Iraq as opposed to sitting in a courtroom for a few hours.

  3. you bet your sweet *** it can get you arrested, its called contempt of court. Its your civic duty to serve on a jury, and if you fail to register or serve, you can get put in jail.

  4. It is your Civic Duty to Serve and it is at the discretion of the Judge if he want to put a BENCH WARRANT out for your arrest
