So there I was pondering the high price of fuel that we are all forced to pay in order to go about our daily lives. Other than folks sniveling about the price and being conned into thinking that the only answer is to drill for more oil. I really haven't seen too many alternatives to this option.
For instance. Lowering the speed limit like they did in the 70's, utilization of public transportation, not driving to the corner store when we all know our fat butts could us a good walk.
The oil companies are in it for the money, this is a given. They want to drill to keep the cash cow fed. But if we do not have the capacity to refine the oil that is already in production. If a glitch at one of the refineries happens that is just less fuel that could be put on the market.
So I guess the basic question is. Shouldn't we ensure that we have the capability to refine the oil before we drill for it?
What say ye?
