  1. if you get fungus into your body you could die.

  2. It might make you very sick, or you might be fine.  It's impossible to know exactly what toxins are growing in there.

Don't do it.  Chances are your friend will not give you the $500 if you do!

  3. heck yes $500

Rastafar is right it should be fine many ancient cultures used to allow their fermented spirits to grow a little mold to enhance flavors and produce bolder taste

  4. No, it won't make you sick. You may have a hard time getting it down though. I brew my own, and mold is one method of making Belgian sour beer. Too much mold will make it gross. The beer should be safe, but be prepared for one nasty drink.

  5. It may taste bad, but I doubt your life or health is at stake.  You'll be ingesting some weird stuff, but nothing dangerous.  There are no known pathogens that can survive in beer.  I included two sources in case you want to double check.

If it were me, I would suck it up and do it.  Good luck.

  6. more than likely you will get a nasty tummy ache

  7. Hmm.... drinking mold on purpose is a bad idea.  If your friend actually had $500 in cash, though, things get interesting.  For example, how much mold is there?  If it were only a little moldy, and I really wanted the money, I would consider putting about 3 shots of vodka in with the mold beer and mixing it up.  Technically you would be drinking old moldy beer.  And who doesn't like to see people drink more alcohol?  No way your friend wouldn't let you do that.

So, basically, the idea here is that the extra alcohol from the vodka is there to potentially kill the mold.  Whether it works or not, who knows.

Ultimately, though, you might still get sick.  I mean, there's still mold, and you don't know which mold it is.  Eating a piece of slightly moldy bread probably won't make you sick, but it's not a particularly good choice of lunch, either.  I wouldn't be surprised if you end up puking from trying this.

Honestly though, it's not a great idea, but completly up to you.  I wouldn't do it, atleast not for $500.
