Have a 10 year old round channel master with inline amp that works great here in the boonies for UHF channels, is this the same frequency HDTV is broadcast?

  1. We use a 25-foot, 14-gauge, solid-conductor wire from Home Depot and get 30 HD channels.  It's only 7 cents a foot and is white, so we don't see it running up the wall in the living room.  We've attached several other shorter wires to the main one, placing them randomly to pick up specific, hard to find stations.  For a couple of bucks, give it a try.

  2. terestrial HDTV signals are broadcast in the UHF bandwidth so it is suposed to work fine, however sometimes the digital signals don't get indoors so well. Outdoor antennas seem to work better.

The Consumer Electronics Association has a website dedicated to helping select the correct antenna for your area.

I have included it in the link.

  3. If it works well for the old analog channels it will work fine for the HDTV (ATSC) broadcasts too.

  4. they will but they are not very good at picking up signals.
