  2. He might chase them occasionally, but give him some hiding places (make some caves out of rocks, provide lots of plants, etc) he'll be happy enough.

    Tetras are quick fish - they'll be able to outrun him easily and should be fine.

    These are my favorite fish.  I have one that has been in my tank for 9 years, and he has lived with zebra danios, serpae tetras, swordtails, gouramis, mollys, and more.  He'll just briefly chase the other fish from time to time, but they don't seem very bothered by it.  What you should NOT do is put any other bottom feeders in with him - they can bully other similar-looking fish to death by not letting them eat, etc.

    Also, these guys can get 6 inches long, as mine has, so if you have a 10 gallon, you might want to consider getting something smaller, like a cory catfish.

  3. yes, red-tails are aggressive and should not be housed with the peaceful shoaling varieties such as Neon Tetras, et al.
