In ODI, I give 80 marks per match for Saeed Anwar and 77.7 to Salman Butt.

In test matches, I give 56 marks per match to Saeed Anwar and 33 marks to Salman Butt.

Salman Butt is excellent in ODI but is yet to prove himself in Test Matches.

He is certainly not in the class of Lara or no were near Sanath and to become Anwar he has a long way to go.

All these years he has been in and out of the team and you have gone the extent to compare him with Sanath.

Sanath plays his brand of fearless cricket even the greats cannot match Sanath and Sanath is the only cricketer who has no replacement till date in cricket.

Name me a cricketer who has always played fear less self less cricket like Sanath.

he is improving his batting day by day and one day he will be the success ful batsman

He is a left handed opener and he is scoring heavily against India, but thats where the similarity ends !

Comparing him to maybe Lara, Jayasuria or Anwar, is extremely premature and he needs 10 years of consistent performances at the top level to be considered anywhere close to that level ...

he can be.he has that good talent to be.He has been playing well since he came.He scored over 40 in his first 15 matches in ODIs,.He rarely gets out failing to get runs & he has scred all his centuries against India.He can be in the elite group but time will tell.
