Well, i'm 15, and when i was at the Orthodontist last time my mother was talking to the doctor and i wasn't really paying attention, but when i started to pay attention again this is what i heard of the conversation

Doctor: "Ok, the X-Rays look fine, and if you will look here there aren't any coming wisdom teeth"

Me: "So will I actualy get them?" *has no idea WTH wisdom teeth are*

Doctor: *turns to face me* "You wont!"

Me: *Am i supposed to be happy or sad?* "And why is that?"

Doctor: "<something i can't understand, then something about (i think) me being a higher evolution than most humans, so i'm not going to get wisom teeth"

I now know from research that wisdom teeth are the third set of molars you get at around the age of 20, and they are usualy removed, but i want to know; Why am i not going to get them? Is it even possible for me to not get them?

Please tell me, because my mother didn't understand and i have no bloody idea what's going on!

  1. Plenty of people don't get them coming through at all.

I think my dad said he never had his come through, I don't think my brother has either.

    It's perfectly normal.

  2. Be happy. Most people with them get them removed 'round 16... my friend got hers at 12. it hurts alot..lucky!

  3. be happy you wont get them. its completely normal not to get them.

When i was 17 the dentist told me that all 4 of mine were compacted and i would have a lot of problems with them later in life. And he was right, I had to have all 4 removed because they were JUST above the gum line and they stopped. Was a major hassle and all.

    So yeah be glad :P

  4. you are a lucky person. Very few people dont get wisdom teeth. Genetically it has not grown or it will be visible on the x ray.
