Will overpoputaion occur in this life?

I am afraid the earth will become to overpopulated to live in but will I be dead by the time that comes around.

It HAS BEEN overpopulated for about 50 years! When i was a child in the 60's all we heard on the news was the starvation in India and Africa. These lands had about 1 BILLION more people than can be supported.

We gave them food and medicine. they reproduced over and over again.

Now these lands have TWO billion more people than they can support.

The world is already overpopulated. Don't worry- some force of nature always brings down the population (volcanoes, Ice Ages, hurricanes, etc.)

It is already occurring, but we are projected to be up to almost 12 billion by 2050.  We are currently at about 6.7 billion.  I think you will still be around when our population has almost doubled.  If we can't do something to slow down the population growth, stop using up our non-renewable resources, stop cutting down the rain forests, and stop polluting the atmosphere, we are going to be in a lot of trouble.

The high projection variant is 92 million, while the low is -13 million. And at the constant fertility variant (current rates) there would be 169 million people added each year by 2050, which would result in a total world population of about 11,858 million people.
