Will painting the caliper of my car affect the brakes?

  2. Nothing will happen as long as your only paint the non-moving parts.  You may want to get high temp paint, engine paint work great!  The regular paint will chip and crack as you use the brake with high heat.

  3. Stay away from the rotor, rubber parts, and pads; use a high temperature paint like they use on engine blocks. You can get it in a spray can. Should look nice.

  4. Aside from changing the color, no. There are many cosmetic coatings on the market for calipers, in stock and custom colors. Pick one, properly mask the area, and paint. Enjoy.

  5. it could if you paint the wrong areas and don't mask certain parts, make sure you get the caliper/brake paint cause not all paint is going to be able to stand up to the heat that brakes give out, nice even lightly coats and layers will work best so don't over spray it or the heat will crack the paint
